Investigators say the man – who is reportedly a local church leader and also works as a bouncer – had been involved in a series of misunderstandings with his wife for some time.
Reports further indicate that the woman’s body was found naked, while her husband was dressed up.
Couple identified
Police in Harare have launched an investigation into the deaths of the couple, following what authorities have described as a marital dispute.
The deceased have been identified as Nyasha Mhungu, 35, and his wife, Olga Muzhingi, 30.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the bodies were discovered at the couple’s residence this Wednesday morning.
Investigators are working to establish the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Nyasha Mhungu (35) and his wife Olga Muzhingi (30), who were found dead in a bedroom at a house in Glen View 3, Harare, following a marital dispute,” a ZRP statement reads.
